Beginning early this year, google made some changes to their search ranking,   in the hope of offering it’s search users better results, on official google blog it is estimated 11.8% search results will be affected by this update, in plain English, google thinks about 12% of it’s search results are really bad and need to manipulated. Google started this change almost one year ago, and recently I see some of my ranks were lowered considerably, but almost all the ranks promoted by articles and blog posts were not affected, a few of these keywords ranked better than ever, it becomes clear that linking campaign the old way is the thing of past, probably due to links crammed sites being tossed out by google.

Now what on earth is plain link building and how do people do it? There are a lot of SEO company out there are doing this, they put your links on websites which only exist for holding links, the content on those sites will never be updated, it’s safe to assume all of them are trash, the name of link spamming sites is justified. Old and outdated linking campaign lost to content linking, what’s next? In fact the only thing matters here is content, as long as you dole out high quality content, your rank will improve over time, since search engines are another kind of readers. Now you can see, quality blog marketing is much better than plain link building. Remember content is king, you just need to create content, get people to enjoy and share your stuff, promote your business with the content, this strategy will prevail in short or long term.
